  1. Aide Commands
  2. -------------
  3.  
  4. These commands may be used by any user with Aide or higher access by
  5. first typing the [A] key from any room prompt, then following it with
  6. the various keys to access the specific functions.  All of these
  7. functions take effect on the current room.
  8.  
  9. [E] Edit Room Status
  10.  
  11.     [A] Roomname
  12.         Change the name of the room.
  13.  
  14.     [B] Number
  15.         Change the room record position number, net yet implimented.
  16.  
  17.     [C] Generation
  18.         Changes the generation number so that all users lose access 
  19.         to this room (unless they are high level users).  You may 
  20.         increment this number by one up to 254, then re-start again 
  21.         at 2.  This function should only be used at the request of
  22.         the developer, otherwise you will remove user access to this
  23.         room.  Any room with a generation number of 0 is inactive, 1
  24.         is public (any user has access), and 2 or higher would be
  25.         used for hidden or invitation only rooms.

  27.     [D] Group Access
  28.         Edit the group level of this room.  Only users with access to
  29.         this group will be allowed in this room.  Not yet implimented.
  30.  
  31.     [E] Floor
  32.         Change the floor number that the room is located on.
  33.  
  34.     [F] Status
  35.         Set room status to public, hidden, or invitation only.  Public
  36.         rooms can be accessed by all users.  Hidden rooms can only be
  37.         entered by users if they type [.][G]"ROOMNAME" using the EXACT
  38.         room name after which the room will be treated as a public
  39.         room to the user.  Invitation only rooms can only be entered
  40.         by users who have been [I]nvited into the room by an Aide.
  41.         Aides have access to all hidden rooms but not invitation only
  42.         rooms.
  43.  
  44.     [G] Anonymous
  45.         All messages in this room will show ****** hiding the date, 
  46.         time, and author field.  If a user logs on with the system
  47.         password, the headers will show the real author.
  48.  
  49.     [H] Archived
  50.         Save all the messages in this room to a specified filename 
  51.         for archival purposes.  Enter a standard pathname (i.e.
  52.         "C:\ARCHIVES\ROOMNAME.MSG").  The directory and file will be
  53.         created by ST-Keep.
  54.  
  55.     [I] Directory
  56.         Add or remove directory status for this room to allow file
  57.         uploads and downloads.  Enter a standard pathname (i.e.
  58.         "C:\FOLDER\") or [RETURN] to remove directory status.  If the
  59.         directory isn't already present, ST-Keep will create it.
  60.  
  61.     [J] Uploads
  62.         Toggle to allow or disallow file uploads in the room if there
  63.         is a directory.
  64.  
  65.     [K] Downloads
  66.         Toggle to allow or disallow file downloads in the room if
  67.         there is a directory.
  68.  
  69.     [L] Dice Enabled
  70.         Toggle to allow or disallow die rolls [%] in the current room.

  73.     [M] Moderator
  74.         Select a username that you wish to give moderator status to for
  75.         this room.  The name selected will have Aide access to THIS ROOM
  76.         ONLY.  This includes the Aide commands in this menu (.AE only, not
  77.         .A) as well as the expanded prompt when getting file directories so
  78.         that they can add descriptions, erase files, and otherwise manipulate
  79.         them.
  80.  
  81.     [N] Header
  82.         Add or delete a header message for the current room.  The 
  83.         header is displayed upon entering the room unless the user 
  84.         has the system skip these headers based on their account
  85.         configuration.
  86.  
  87.     [O] Invite User
  88.         You may invite a user to this invitation only room.  Enter the
  89.         username or partial username to invite into this room or [RETURN]
  90.         to abort.
  91.  
  92.     [P] Uninvite User
  93.         You may un-invite a user from this invitation only room.  Enter
  94.         the username or partial username that you wish to invite into this
  95.         room or type [RETURN] to abort.
  96.  
  97.     [X] Exit
  98.         Exit from the Aide Room Editor menu.
  99.  
  100. [K] Kill Room
  101.     Delete this room from the system.  All messages will be erased and the 
  102.     slot for this room will be open for a future room creation.  Any
  103.     messages which have been archived using the above command will
  104.     remain in the respective file.
  105.  
  106. [L] List Aides
  107.     Display a list of the high access users for the BBS, including 
  108.     Aide, Co-SysOp, and SysOp status.
  109.  
  110. [M] Modify Miscellanious Comment Field
  111.     Change the miscellaneous comment field in the message header.  This 
  112.     function overrides any personal comment field that a user may have 
  113.     configured.  To erase any MCF, just type [RETURN] at the prompt.  
  114.     The MCF is saved with the STK_INFA.SYS file, so if you re-boot 
  115.     your computer or re-run the BBS, the MCF will still be active.

  117. [S] Set Date & Time
  118.     Set your date or time.  Press [RETURN] if there is no change.
  119.  
  120. [?] Aide Menu
  121.     Show the valid Aide options.
